Wok Chef, CDP & Part-Time CDP (Malaysian Kitchen)

Rainforest Malaysian Kitchen — Rototuna North, Hamilton, Waikato

We’re looking for three new team members to join our small, friendly kitchen. If you enjoy Malaysian flavours, fast-paced service, and a supportive team environment, this could be for you.

• Mainly stir-fries, fried rice/noodles, braises/boils (no wok deep-frying).
• Must have NZ commercial kitchen experience (FCP, H&S) and solid English communication.
• Malaysian cuisine experience is a big advantage.
• Strong applicants may start at the top of the range.
• Hours: 40–45 hrs/week (Wed–Sun; 2 short shifts, 3 long shifts)

• Hotplate rotis, satay grilling, deep fryer + general line support.
• Must have NZ commercial kitchen experience (FCP, H&S) and solid English communication.
• Malaysian cuisine experience is a big advantage.
• Hours: 40–45 hrs/week (Wed–Sun; 2 short shifts, 3 long shifts)

• Same station duties as above but on a part-time roster.
• Must also have good English communication.
• Hours: 20–25 hrs/week (Wed–Sun; evening shifts)

• Consistent prep & cooking to our standards (training provided)
• Stock rotation & checks
• Cleaning duties including deep cleans
• Supporting Food Control Plan tasks
• Free staff meal per shift
• Proper breaks & stable roster
• Must work well with owners + small team
• Must already be eligible to work in NZ (no visa support)
