Salon Manager / Front of House Coordinator – Nspyre Red Collective

  • Central Christchurch
  • Full-Time | Tuesday–Saturday (9am–5pm, alternating Saturdays off)
  • Excellent salary + weekly bonuses (up to $100/week)
  • Ongoing leadership development and future growth potential
  • About Us

Nspyre Red Collective is a boutique, values-led hair salon located in the heart of Christchurch. Known for our creativity, high standards, and genuine care for both clients and team members, we’ve built a trusted name in the industry over the past 15 years.

As we look ahead to a new chapter, we’re ready to bring in a Salon Manager / Front of House Coordinator—someone confident, emotionally intelligent, and driven by structure, calm, and people. This is a hybrid leadership and coordination role for someone who thrives in organised, team-focused environments and knows how to hold space for both stylists and clients.

  • About the Role

This is not your average front desk job. As the central point of coordination for our salon, you’ll be the calm and confident leader who ensures everything flows people, schedules, systems, and standards.

You'll work closely with the salon owner and (eventually) the wider leadership team to manage the salon's day-to-day operations and support a professional, high-performing team culture.

This role is ideal for someone who brings a service mindset, strong leadership instincts, and operational discipline.
  • Key Responsibilities
Client Experience + Front Desk Operations

Manage all bookings, rebookings, and waitlists across multiple stylists

Greet clients with warmth and professionalism as the face of the salon

Oversee check-ins, check-outs, and retail sales

Maintain a smooth daily client flow to avoid appointment overlaps or gaps

Ensure the salon is clean, calm, and visually elevated throughout the day

Team Coordination & Leadership

Support stylist schedules, rosters, and time-off requests

Monitor team performance (rebooking rates, retail sales, timing) and share insights

Be a trusted support for junior stylists, helping them grow in confidence and standards

Contribute to onboarding new team members and managing team communication

Lead short team check-ins and assist with performance systems and accountability

Salon Systems & Daily Operations

Oversee towel and product restocking, stock control, and service supply

Manage end-of-day reporting and POS cash-up

Coordinate general salon needs—maintenance, suppliers, and task delegation

Liaise with the salon owner and leadership team to keep daily operations on track
  • What We’re Looking For

Proven leadership or front desk experience in salon, spa, retail, or hospitality

Strong communication and people management skills

High attention to detail, confident decision-making, and calm problem-solving

Warm, respectful, and fair with clients and team members alike

Emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and growth-minded

Confident using tech systems (booking software, reporting tools, email, etc.)

Salon experience is a plus, but not essential if you bring strong operations leadership
  • Pay & Benefits

Well-compensated leadership role – salary based on experience

Weekly bonuses of up to $100, tied to clearly defined KPIs

Annual earning potential: $63,000 – $78,000+

Paid training and structured onboarding

Leadership mentoring and professional development

Every second Saturday off to maintain work/life balance

Potential to grow into a senior leadership or business development role
  • What You'll Be Part Of

At Nspyre Red Collective, we’re creating more than just great hair—we’re building a team culture grounded in professionalism, care, and creative energy. You'll be stepping into a supportive environment where structure matters, standards are high, and people genuinely love coming to work.

We’re not looking for someone to just manage bookings, we’re looking for someone to be part of our next chapter of growth. You’ll play a key role in helping us build a stronger, more sustainable business and you’ll be backed with real support and development along the way.

  • Ready to Apply?
If this sounds like your next move, we’d love to hear from you.
