Truck Driver

Gurusar Transport Limited is a transport company specialising in efficient and reliable freight solutions. We are seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our team in the Canterbury region, contributing to service excellence and ensuring timely transportation.

The Truck Driver will be required to drive the company truck within the Canterbury region and to nearby regions for business purposes. The employer will cover all the costs related to travel and fuel.

• Safely drive and operate company Class 5 trucks along designated transport routes in accordance with company’s operational requirements.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure all loads are correctly secured, compliant, and in suitable condition for transport.
• Follow all safety procedures during loading, unloading, and transit to protect goods, equipment, and personnel.
• Maintain accurate documentation of transported goods, including verifying delivery notes and invoices.
• Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely delivery and collection of goods.
• Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries in line with daily and weekly transport plans.
• Record driving hours, rest breaks, mileage, fuel usage, and toll receipts as required by company and regulatory standards.
• Apply fuel-efficient driving practices to support the company’s sustainability initiatives.
• Immediately report vehicle faults, mechanical concerns, or equipment issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Promptly notify management of any accidents, incidents, or near misses encountered during transport.
• Supervise or help with loading the truck
• Keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times, including regular cleaning of windows, mirrors, and interior areas to maintain safety and professionalism.

The candidate will be required to work at least 30 hours per week and be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.

Other important requirements:

 Mustpass drug and alcohol tests.
