Orchard Supervisor

We are based in Tauranga, and looking to hire a full- time Orchard Supervisor.
Ensuring all orchard tasks are carried out in accordance with Health and safety standards.
Overseeing work on managed orchards to ensure best practices are followed, and optimal production is achieved.
Monitoring team performance, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards.
We are looking for individuals with strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in orchard operations, and the ability to manage teams effectively in a dynamic environment.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively, and at the appropriate level with various types of people.
Can work effectively with others to achieve an optimal outcome
Experience: 1 year of relevant Experience OR
Pay rate: $25.00- $30.00/ hour
Hours: 30.00- 40.00 / week
In this role, you will be responsible for training and supervising orchard teams in various work tasks to meet seasonal and operational demands. You will work closely with the Orchard Manager, coordinating daily to ensure the smooth continuation of orchard work programmes and effectively communicating plans to your teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising and motivating crews, as well as orchard contractors.Ensuring all orchard tasks are carried out in accordance with Health and safety standards.
Overseeing work on managed orchards to ensure best practices are followed, and optimal production is achieved.
Monitoring team performance, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualification: High School ( Level 2)
Area training will be provided.Own transport preferred ( you don't rely on friends, ride or the bus).
Job Type: Permanent & ongoingPay rate: $25.00- $30.00/ hour
Hours: 30.00- 40.00 / week
Weekend availability: Must be able to work on weekends, if required.
