Site Maintenance Technician

Location: Cambridge, Waikato

Employer: Aceline Services Ltd

Contract start date is 1st August

Aceline Services Ltd is seeking motivated and reliable Site Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team delivering sports field and court maintenance services throughout the Waikato District Council region.

The depot is based in Cambridge, with most work located throughout the Waikato district and occasional travel to surrounding areas.

Positions Available
  1. Position 1 – Full-Time (Approx. 40 Hours per Week)
  • Operate a Jacobsen HR800 WAM mower
  • Weed trimming and edge maintenance
  • Path and sports court cleaning
  • General grounds maintenance
  1. Position 2 – Part-Time (Approx. 20 Hours per Week)
  • Operate a Case 115U tractor with a 6.0m Trimax Pegasus mower
  • Weed trimming and edge maintenance
  • Path and sports court cleaning
  • General grounds maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
  • Grounds & Field Maintenance
  • Mowing sports fields and reserves in accordance with weekly schedules
  • Weed trimming and edge maintenance
  • Clearing paths and blowing debris from hard surfaces
  • Maintaining a high standard of presentation across all sites
Court Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Cleaning and maintaining sports courts and associated facilities
  • Reporting any defects or maintenance requirements

Equipment & Machinery Operation - Training will be provided and competency sign-off completed for all equipment.

Operate and maintain:
  • Small and large out-front mowers
  • Tractor mowers
  • Brush cutters and weed trimmers
  • Hand and power tools
  • Small agricultural and maintenance implements
  • Utility vehicles (UTVs)
  • Trailers

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Conducting routine equipment inspections
  • Maintaining machinery in a clean and serviceable condition
  • Reporting faults, damage, and servicing requirements promptly
Site Maintenance
  • Carry out general property and grounds maintenance
  • Assist with repairs and upkeep of company and client facilities when required
Health & Safety
  • Complete daily pre-start inspections on vehicles and equipment
  • Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct site hazard assessments before commencing work
  • Wear and maintain required PPE
  • Report incidents, hazards, near misses, and equipment damage
  • Operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company requirements
Customer Service & Teamwork
  • Represent Aceline professionally at all times
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and members of the public
  • Maintain a positive and solutions-focused attitude
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Assist team members as required
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives
General Duties
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Undertake other duties as directed by management

  • Scheduled work completed on time and to specification
  • Compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Accurate completion of required reporting and documentation

  • Effective operation and care of equipment
  • Minimal equipment damage and downtime
Ideal Candidate
  • Holds a Full New Zealand Driver Licence
  • Previous experience operating mowing or agricultural equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Reliable, motivated, and self-managing
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
