We are looking for motivated and reliable people to join our traffic management crew. You’ll play an important role in keeping our sites safe and traffic flowing smoothly while we complete works around Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty.
While traffic management will be your main focus, there will also be opportunities to assist in other areas of civil construction and labouring when required – so a willingness to pitch in and be part of the team is a must.
TTM / TMO - Key Responsibilities:- Setting up, monitoring, and removing traffic management sites in line with TMP requirements
- Ensuring the safety of the public, clients, and your team on site
- Following instructions from the Site Supervisor and STMS
- Maintaining equipment and working as part of a supportive team
- Manage overall site traffic management, ensuring safety and compliance with the latest NZGTTM guidelines
- Oversee, plan, prepare, and coordinate all needs for TM closures, and TM project delivery from breaking ground through to reinstatement—managing each site from start to finish
- Liaise with TMCs and RCAs (Tauranga City Council) to maintain positive relationships
- Supervise TTM'S / TMOs and work directly with Construction, Drilling, and Drainage teams to ensure seamless site coordination
- Monitor site conditions, safety, and all TM-related activities; report findings, updates and site management daily to the TM Manager.
- Assist in developing TMP's as required
- Current TTM Worker, TMO or STMS qualifications (training available for the right person)
- Ability to communicate with the public professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain site safety and community relations
- Experience in civil site traffic management experience ideal
- Must be proactive, flexible, and willing to assist the team with tasks beyond standard duties
- A positive attitude and good work ethic – reliability is key
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely under pressure
- Full Class 1 licence
- Physically fit and prepared to work outdoors in all conditions
- Willingness to help out in other areas of the business when required
- Able to pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
