Draft NZ is partnered with a leading civil infrastructure client operating across the Waikato region. Due to increasing project demand, we are seeking experienced Traffic Controllers (TTM / TC) for ongoing and upcoming work.
About the Role
You will be supporting roading and civil works, ensuring the safe movement of traffic, pedestrians, and site personnel. Shifts are allocated based on secured work and confirmed in advance where possible.
Non-Negotiable Requirements- A valid NZ Driver's License
- Own reliable vehicle to get to and from site
- Previous Traffic Control / TTM experience
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and able to work long hours on your feet
- This role is based outdoors so you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Own steel cap work boots
- TTM / TC qualification
- Code A and/or Code B tickets
- Experience on civil or roading projects
- Ongoing work with increasing demand from January 2026 onwards
- Shift lengths typically 8-12 hours
- Minimum hours paid even if a shift is cancelled
- Opportunity to work across a variety of projects and major events
To be successful:
- Minimum 1 years + experience in traffic management
- Own reliable vehicle
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must disclose any convictions and be able to undertake a pre-employment ministry of justice background check
- Must be able to provide at least TWO contactable work references
