Health Care Assistant

We are an aged care services provider located in 163 Hibiscus Coast Highway, Red Beach, Auckland.

Currently we are looking to recruit experienced Health Care Assistant.

Employment Details:
  • Type: Full-time (minimum 32 hours per week)
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Salary: $27 - $31 per hour based on your experience and or qualifications
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Provide daily personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting,
and continence care.
  • Assist residents with safe mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
  • Support residents with eating, drinking, and medication reminders under supervision.
  • Make beds, tidy resident rooms, and maintain a clean, safe environment in accordance
with infection-control standards.
  • Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident health or behaviour to the
Registered Nurse or Supervisor.
  • Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to promote residents’ dignity
and well-being.
  • Follow individual care plans, rest-home policies, and Health & Safety requirements at all

times.

Qualifications and Experience:
To be a successful candidate you will:
  • Relevant NZ Certificate (Level 4) or equivalent qualification; OR at least three years of
relevant experience in aged care or disability support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of personal care procedures, manual handling, and infection
control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Police vetting clearance required.
