Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleReporting to the National Manager Health Technology Management (HTM): Deployment and Delivery, this role has a regional focus in enabling the deployment and delivery of Projects and Programmes in the clinical equipment capital plan.About the Team/Service/ Location This role will have a strong focus on the delivery/commitment of the clinical equipment capital plan and contribute to the delivery targets that have been set. This function works closely with internal staff members of Health Technology Management (HTM), local clinical areas, other asset portfolios including Finance Enterprise Capital Investment, Data and Digital (D&D) and Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG), support services, Procurement, Supply Chain and Clinical Product Management to lead and oversee delivery of the clinical equipment capital plan.This role is a 3-year fixed-term contract to deliver the outcomes set out in the clinical equipment capital plan and is to be based in the Midland | Te Manawa Taki region.About youYou are a self-starter who thrives on developing and delivering initiatives and projects on time, within budget, and in scope, ensuring full benefits realisation. With a strong understanding of medical devices and lifecycle management, you bring a robust knowledge of New Zealand's health system and how clinical technology integrates within it.Your expertise in clinical capital deployment and programme management enables seamless project delivery, and you have a proven track record of developing high-value business cases. With at least eight years of experience in program and project delivery, you have the skills to navigate complex initiatives while driving meaningful outcomes.Passionate about the health technology space, you excel in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, adapting quickly to new challenges while maintaining a strategic focus on improving healthcare delivery.Experience and Expertise:Draw on clear programme and project delivery experience in varied environments, with an emphasis on health, across 8-10 years including: Degree in a relevant field e.g. health science, engineering (preferably clinical engineering), business, logistics, technology and/or equivalent level of related practical experienceGraduate qualification or a certification in a relevant field e.g. Prince2/PMP, and/or equivalent level of practical clinical, clinical engineering, business, technology or project experienceProject and Programme Management delivery experience at a senior levelMinimum 5 years' experience preferably in a health technology environment e.g. clinical, clinical engineering, information technology or clinical equipment project delivery, within a leadership and staff management role, initiating and managing Health Technologies i.e. medical equipment projects to deliver and deploy to agreed equipment programmesAble to be regularly challenged, and successfully navigate through a wide range of conflicting requirements with ambiguous and conflicting statementsConnections, networks, relationships and engagement with community groups that may experience health inequitiesAbility to maintain a focus on required objectives while prioritising issues across multiple time frames and with key stakeholders, while ensuring a quality customer serviceWorking at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is ‘the weaving of wellness'.
