About the Role
As a technician in the Clinical Engineering Department, you will find that no two days are the same. You will be working with a wide range of medical equipment and helping keep clinical services running by ensuring the equipment is serviced and maintained on time and electrically safe to use.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the clinical equipment asset pool for your area(s) is in date and serviced on time
- Your timely completion and attention to detail regarding paperwork will be second to none
- You will participate in ongoing professional development and equipment training
- Provide training and knowledge to junior technicians
- You will promote a positive and healthy team culture

About the Team
We are a friendly, highly skilled team of 20 Clinical Engineers, that cover Waikato Hospital and the surrounding 'T' Hospital areas. Thames, Taumarunui, Tokoroa, Matariki Te Awamutu, and Rhoda Read Morrinsville. We all take pride in being able to fix and maintain the clinical equipment that doctors, surgeons and nurses use to keep us all alive and well.As one supplier writes on their packaging, 'Handle with care, the next life this equipment saves may be yours'
About you
The successful candidate for this role will bring solid fault-finding skills, along with a good understanding of processes and system architecture relevant to the equipment being worked on.- EST, EAS, EASQ or E Electrical Registration or current Trainee License
- Fluke EAS615 / Rigel 288+ experience
- Clinical Engineering experience
- EAM Hexagon or Cabrini Service Manager Experience advantageous
- Testing experience in accordance with AS/NZS 3551
- Availability to go On-Call 1 week every 2 months
