We are currently seeking Class 5 professional LPG tanker drivers to be based in Otago.- You will need a minimum of two years Class 5 driving experience and hold a clean NZ Class 5 driver licence.
- Travel throughout New Zealand may be required so you must be prepared to work away from home at times and you need to be flexible.
- Hourly rate $28.00 - $36.00.
- Days of work will be Monday to Sunday when required. Roster will be 5 days on/2 days off. Weekend and night work will be required.
- A minimum of 40 hours per week will be guaranteed.
- You need to have great attention to detail and look after our equipment.
- Most importantly, you must be a team player.
- Pre check trips and inspections.
- DG Licence & Approved Handler Training would be beneficial.
- Deliver products as required by customer-to-customer specifications.
- Cleaning of equipment.
- All associated record keeping electronic or paper.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Be able to abide by drug and alcohol policy.
- To operate as a professional multi-disciplined driver within the Dynes Group of companies.
- Become proficient and familiar with the operation of vehicles required to be driven and/or operated, and to undertake and participate in any training to operate safely and proficiently.
- Undertake and be responsible for the care of any plant, equipment or vehicle during the drivers shift that is associated with the drivers’ duties.
- Be willing to gain experience in other work divisions to broaden your skill level.
- Meet the Dynes Group objectives for quality service to all customers and the company values.
- Operate in a safe manner in accordance with all Dynes Group policies and “Stand in the Gap” and raise issues where safety could be compromised.
- Must be able to follow a SOP (Safe Operating Procedure)
- Loading Customer’s Products
- Travelling to delivery destinations
- Unloading Customer’s Products
A pre-employment driving assessment, medical and drug and alcohol test will be required.
