Heavy Diesel Fitter/Mechanic supervisor PNG FIFO

• Minimum 2 years working as a supervisor or above
• Background in earthmoving machinery.
• Must be trade qualified
• Knowledge of Cat & Komatsu gear
• Experience dealing with and ordering parts from suppliers
• Be able to work with site superintendents & Supervisors
• Inspecting heavy construction equipments such as bulldozers, cranes, graders for proper

• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to

• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand

• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets

• Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
• Maintain a schedule for preventative maintenance on all equipment providing for lubrication,

• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Sound knowledge of Crushing and Screening equipment
• Provide instruction and training in the proper methods and processes necessary to perform

• Assists other mechanics with the more difficult assignments
• Performs layout work for fabrication of parts and equipment
• May perform repair work on heavy trucks
• Train staff on applicable health, safety, and quality procedures.
• Valid Drivers License
• Valid Passport
