You will:

  • Be working collaboratively within a full multi-disciplinary team,
  • Provide pharmacist expertise and consultation to adult mental health service users,
  • Be working with Adults who have moderate to severe mental health conditions .
  • Provide direct provision of advice to clients, families, prescribers and clinicians.
  • Promote best practice in all aspects of pharmaceutical treatment.

You will be a motivated pharmacist with recent community and/or hospital pharmacy experience, who is passionate about improving the quality of care for mental health service users.

Good communication and networking skills will be essential.

Current registration with the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate is required. Post Graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy an advantage.

This role will suit either a clinician with existing expertise in the treatment of mental disorder or one interested in attaining expertise in this field.

Suitable applicants will be team players, willing to learn from other as well as share expertise.

Applicants should enjoy relating directly with service users, be organised and have excellent time management skills.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
