Are you passionate about classic cars, and want to live that passion? A unique position is available with one of Auckland's most respected classic vehicle workshops, Paul Walbran Motors. Owned and operated by Paul Walbran, his passionate team has gained a reputation second to none for maintaining, servicing and restoring British classics such as MG, Jaguar, and Austin Healey.

We currently have a vacancy for a fully qualified and suitably skilled Senior Mechanic or Fabricator/Engineer to work with our dedicated workshop team.

We service a wide and varied range of vehicles from classic & vintage vehicles right up to modern high performance machinery and everything in-between.

Our aim is to provide an environment that nurtures and promotes this, and as a result our remuneration package is very attractive – a competitive base wage with a highly-lucrative performance-based bonus scheme.

Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Timely completion of jobs
  • Meeting or exceeding our high-standards of workmanship
  • Care and attention of customer's pride and joy
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
Your skills and key attributes

  • Diagnostic skills for a wide-range of areas – from classic to modern, from engine to brakes and suspension.
  • Good fabrication and welding skills
  • Excellent inter-personal skills
  • Good level of written and spoken English

Relevant qualifications are preferred, but consideration will be given to any applicant with demonstrable high levels of the above skills.

In return, we offer:
  • Positive, enjoyable and supportive working environment.
