You will lead other members of the clinical pharmacy team in a professional, ethical manner and support them to deliver a high quality, equitable clinical service.Key responsibility areas include:Clinical and operational leadership and coordinationResource allocationProvision of information, patient education, teaching and supervisionService delivery and development, and clinical performance monitoringQuality improvement and assuranceGeneral pharmacist dutiesClick here to view the position description.What we can offer youRemuneration for this role is $117,420 $122,570 ($56.45 - $58.93 per hour) for full time equivalent, dependent on experience.You will be encouraged to develop your clinical and leadership skills across disciplines with opportunities for career development.About the Team/Service/ LocationWhangarei Hospital is a medium sized (approximately 260 beds) secondary hospital located in Whangarei (approximately 2 hours north of Auckland), unique in terms of the diverse, high-needs population we serve.

Our service is committed to providing excellent patient-centred care and achieving equitable health outcomes through collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation.With a talented team of approximately 20 pharmacists, we provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas across Medicine, Surgery, Older Peoples Health & Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Childrens Health, Mental Health, Infectious Diseases & Antimicrobial Stewardship, Cancer and Blood services and Renal services.For more information on living and working in Whangarei, click hereAbout youApplicants must hold, or be eligible to hold, a current Annual Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
