Part-Time Social Worker (21 hrs per week – Tues, Wed, Thurs)

Due to an internal promotion Otamatea Community Services is looking for a qualified Social Worker to join our team.
This role provides community-based social work under our Oranga Tamariki contract, supporting children, young people, and whanau to build safety, resilience, and wellbeing.
The role
You’ll work in a trauma-informed, strengths-based way, within a bicultural and culturally responsive organisation. You’ll be supported by a multi-disciplinary team while working autonomously with your own caseload.
We’re looking for someone who:- Has experience assessing whanau needs, risks, and strengths
- Understands Care and Protection processes
- Builds strong, respectful relationships with whanau and agencies
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Brings a calm, practical, can-do approach
- A recognised social work qualification
- Current registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (or able to obtain)
- Full NZ driver’s license
- Good computer literacy
- Supportive team culture
- Meaningful, community-focused mahi
- Flexible part-time hours
