Fitter-Turned

Our client is a leading engineering firm that is locally owned and operated, and they need a skilled and experienced Fitter Turner to fill this role. Stellar Recruitment is looking for a motivated and suitably experienced person to work for this fantastic company.

About the role:

• Working in a leading supportive and reputable business
• Full time, permanent work with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week and overtime hours as required
• $30 - $34 per hour

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You must have at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• You must be physically fit and a good leader and team player
• Managing risks and ensuring full compliance with all Health and Safety regulations
• You will have a flexible approach to working overtime including weekends when required
• You must have a Trade Certificate
• Maintenance work within the hydro industrial is desirable

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Manufacturing, fitting and assembling parts and components of machinery
• Maintain, modify and repair all machinery to manufacturers specifications
• Fit, fabricate and assemble metal components and subassemblies
• General machining including use of lathes, milling machines, drills and threaders
• Studying drawings and specifications to determine appropriate materials, methods and sequences
• Working in a clean and tidy manner, checking for quality.
