Joinery Estimator - Christchurch

As a Bespoke Architectural Joinery Estimator, you will play a crucial role in turning client visions into practical, cost-effective solutions. You’ll work closely with our design, production, and project management teams to deliver accurate and competitive quotations on custom joinery packages.

• Accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications, and client requirements
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for bespoke joinery projects
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for material and labour costings
• Assist with value engineering while maintaining design integrity
• Track project changes and variations, updating estimates as required
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure estimates reflect current capabilities and lead times
• Supporting continuous improvement of estimating systems and processes

• Proven experience in estimating bespoke/joinery or carpentry or construction based projects
• Strong understanding of timber materials, finishes, and construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings
• Proficiency in MS Excel and general computer applications
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Positive, professional attitude with strong team collaboration skills

• Previous workshop or site experience in joinery/fitting
• Understanding of Building Regulations and compliance (advantageous)
