Allied Professions Lead - Hauora Maori
Location: This role will be based across Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital and on occasion will be required to support activity across different locations in the Greater Wellington region.
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.7 FTE / 28 hours per week)

About the Role
We have an exciting equity leadership opportunity in our Allied Professions Leadership team, working across Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley (CCHV).
This is a permanent, part-time role (24-28 hours per week), that would suit someone with experience in health or related field, who has a strong grounding in te ao Maori and tikanga. The key purpose of the role is to lead and influence outcomes for whanau Maori through collaboration with Allied Health Scientific and Technical leaders and kaimahi in CCHV.
The role holder will also be leading a work programme that focuses on growing our Maori Allied Professions workforce to enable it to be representative of our communities and support the development of cultural capability across the Allied Professions.
This senior leadership position will report to the Chief Allied Health Technical and Scientific role with dotted reporting line to the General Manager Maori Provider Services. The role will be based across Wellington Regional Hospital and Hutt Hospital and on occasion will be required to support activity at different locations across Greater Wellington.
About the Team/Service/Location
You will be joining a friendly, fun and enthusiastic team from a mix of allied health professions. You will work closely with a range of Allied Profession leadership roles and teams, our Maori Provider Services, Mana Whenua of this rohe and a number of other key roles both internally and externally.Cultural support and supervision and professional development opportunities will be provided to enable you to be successful in this role and to support your continued development.
About you
This is an opportunity for someone with experience at providing equity leadership to guide the Allied, Scientific or Technical workforce at all levels. Your Te Ao Maori skills and the knowledge you hold will be highly valued and recognised. You will need the ability to communicate with and influence a wide range of audiences and create connections to empower, enable and drive kaupapa Maori capability, competence and service initiatives.
This role could work well for an individual wanting to take on a new opportunity alongside clinical hours or for individuals looking to work part-time.
