We are seeking an experienced Registered Social Worker to join the Kahu Piringa team for a fixed-term period.

The Kahu Piringa service builds on the original Tipu Ora Kaitiaki model of care which values a kaupapa Maori approach to hauora, namely a holistic approach to wellbeing. The service is delivered by an experienced multidisciplinary team (MDT) who provide enhanced support from haputanga (pregnancy) onward to whanau alongside core Well Child Tamariki Ora (WCTO) checks once pepi is born.

Their focus is on improving child health outcomes in the first 2000 days.

The Whanau Kaitiaki works alongside and leads the social component of the MDT with hapu mama, pepi, tamariki and whanau.

They provide expert knowledge and skills from a social work perspective.

We welcome applications from Registered Social Workers with:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in social work and ability to use a range of evidence-based practices and assessment tools when working with hapu mama, their pepi, tamariki and whanau.
