We are looking for a Mechanic to join our busy workshop !
About Us:Central Feeds Ltd is a leading agricultural contracting business operating in South Canterbury. We provide a wide range of services, including baling, forage harvesting, cultivation, drilling, planting, effluent management, stock feed sales, beet harvesting, and cartage.
Our team is committed to excellence, and we are now looking to expand our workshop team with another full-time staff member.
The Role:We are seeking a motivated and experienced person to join our workshop team in our modern Winchester workshop. This full-time, permanent position is essential to ensure the smooth operation of our modern fleet of agricultural machinery and equipment.
You’ll be responsible for mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, and assisting with machinery upkeep throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of agricultural machinery and company vehicles.
- Ensure machinery is ready for the busy harvest season in collaboration with the team.
- Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment stays in optimal condition.
- Contribute to the success of the team by ensuring machinery is safe, reliable, and efficient.
- Carrying out repairs both in the workshop and out in the field
- Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably with agricultural machinery.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a focus on safety.
- A proactive attitude, adaptable to a variety of tasks.
- Full car license is essential.
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is required.
- Any engineering experience would beneficial
