Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)

About the business

We are a growing food business expanding into both hospitality service and food production. Due to continued growth and increased production demand, we are seeking two experienced Cooks to join our team and work with on the food preparation side of the business

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to a high standard
• Following recipes and production processes for consistent food quality
• Assisting with menu preparation and development
• Preparing ingredients, including cleaning, cutting, and portioning food
• Ensuring food is stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety standards
• Monitoring cooking times and temperatures
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and food production area
• Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies
• Supporting food production operations as the business expands
• Working collaboratively with kitchen and production staff

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience as a Cook

• A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) in cookery or a related field
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• A positive attitude and reliable work ethic

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience
• Minimum guaranteed hours of 30 per week
