As a Field Service Technician in Christchurch, you’ll work with world class Komatsu equipment across a wide variety of customer sites. Every day brings something different: diagnostics, repairs, breakdowns, major component work, and supporting key industries across the Canterbury region.

Role Located: Christchurch

Roster: Monday to Friday – 8:00am – 4:30pm

What we are looking for:

  • A Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or overseas equivalent).
  • Strong experience working on heavy mobile equipment (Komatsu or similar OEM).
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting capability across hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong customer service focus and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and complete accurate service reports.
  • A Class 1 licence (Class 2 preferred).
  • Willingness to travel, respond to breakdowns, and work flexible hours when required.
  • Experience in mining, quarrying, construction, or forestry environments is desirable.
