About the Role
We’re currently hiring for entry-level stevedoring roles at our Bluff operations, with a mix of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts each month – often totalling 24 hours or more. Perfect for those wanting reliable work that adapts to your availability.
Stevedores are responsible for safely loading and unloading cargo at ports – everything from containers and vehicles to fish and essential goods. If you’re physically active, adaptable, a team player, and ready to learn, you’ll thrive in this role.No two days are the same, and the work environment is outdoors, by the sea – the best office in the world.
Available Role- Casual Stevedore – Work across bulk, Breakbulk specialised cargo and log vessels
- Above minimum wage for all roles
- 8-hour and 12-hour shift options to maximise earnings and maintain flexibility
- Casual work based on your schedule – perfect for those managing other commitments such as studies
- Equal employment opportunities – we actively support Maori, wahine, rangatahi, and Pasifika
- Full driver’s licence (preferred)
- Comfortable with physical labour and all-weather conditions
- Willing to work nights and weekends (as part of a 24/7 operation)
- Must pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn
