Are you a dynamic, experienced Nurse Practitioner ready to lead and innovate in a fast-paced Emergency Department? Te Whatu Ora - MidCentral is seeking passionate Matanga Tapuhi to join our dedicated ED team. This is your opportunity to provide advanced clinical care, lead service development, and contribute to equitable health outcomes for our diverse community.
What You'll Do- Deliver advanced emergency care to adults and children
- Make complex clinical decisions and diagnoses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, effective care
- Mentor and support nursing staff
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits
- Promote health literacy and culturally responsive care
- Uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all aspects of practice
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- Proven experience in emergency or acute care settings
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and clinical governance skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and equity in healthcare
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
