Newly Qualified or Apprentice Builder

About Us:

We are currently seeking a passionate Apprentice/ newly qualified Builder to join our team and contribute to our project until completed .

Position Overview:

Having some of your own tools is a plus, as it reflects your commitment to the craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled builders in a variety of construction tasks, including framing, drywall installation, roofing, and finishing work.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively, following all safety protocols.
• Participate in site preparations, including measuring, cutting, and laying materials as directed.
• Read and interpret plans and engineers drawings.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
• Communicate effectively with team members about progress and any issues that arise.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations on the job site.

Qualifications:

• Passion for construction.
• Previous experience in construction is necessary.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and some power tools; ownership of personal tools is preferred.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• NCEA level 2 or above is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and/ or reliable transportation.
