This role requires flexibility to cover different shifts when required.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate reports on equipment failures and preventative actions taken.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure production deadlines are met.
- Monitor equipment condition and consult with supervisors to address potential issues.
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Registered Electrician ideally with an industrial background.
- Current practising licence.
- Experience with PLCs, Analogue/Digital control, and AC/DC motor drive systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and fault-find effectively.
- Bonus having a familiarity with newspaper presses (Goss manufacture) and publishing/packaging equipment.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of communication protocols (232, 422, Ethernet).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
