This is a rewarding opportunity to lead clinical excellence, drive service improvements, and support a committed, multidisciplinary team at Auckland City Hospital.Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs Clinical Team Leader – Pre-Treatment, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the pre-treatment area, working in partnership with the Radiation Therapy Head, and the other four Clinical Team Leaders.

This role offers a balance of leadership and hands-on clinical practice, with rostered time to ensure you maintain a clinical caseload.You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the planning and delivery of safe, effective, and patient-focused radiation therapy.

You'll coordinate staff rosters, manage clinical incidents, support student learning, and oversee performance and development plans for your direct reports. You’ll also help introduce new models of care, contribute to audits and research, and collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Radiation Oncology Nursing Team, and other members of the MDT.To learn more about the role please click hereAbout the Team / Service / LocationOur Radiation Therapy team at Auckland City Hospital is part of Te Pūriri o Te Ora – Regional Cancer and Blood Service, serving the Northern Region.

The team is operationally led by Clinical Team Leaders, supported by the Radiation Therapy Head and Radiation Therapy Professional Leader. You will have:Extensive experience in pre-treatment (CT and/or dosimetry) within radiation therapyDemonstrated leadership or team coordination experienceExcellent communication and conflict resolution skillsStrong commitment to staff development and culturally responsive careRegistration with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) and a current APCWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of Aotearoa.
