We are seeking a qualified Health professional (Social Worker Occupational Therapist, Nurse, SLT or other Allied Health discipline) preferably with full professional membership/registration- Passionate about supporting people diagnosed with dementia to live well.
- Proven engagement skills at all levels
We are on the hunt for a passionate team player who will be based on the West Coast working 20 hours across three or four days.
What does Dementia Canterbury do?- We are a long-established charity providing specialist community-based support for people diagnosed with dementia, their care partners and whanau.
- Our interdisciplinary clinical team includes Social Workers, Educators, Occupational Therapists, Activity Co-ordinators and Volunteer Co-ordinator who provide information, education, support, cognitive therapy, advocacy, activities, and social support programs to people affected by dementia and whanau living in the community.
- Westland, West Coast based
- Part-time with some flexibility
- Involves some travel
- Provides one to one and whanau support within the community, as well as facilitation of a range of therapeutic services.
