BAS Accountant - Auckland

Tasks:

• Responsible for preparing end of year financial statements, along with the Income tax and other compliance returns for various range of clients: Company, Trust, Non-Profit Organisation, Sole traders and Rental Properties
• Review of end of year accounts and tax returns from
• Review of the GST returns prepared by the outsourcing team
• Preparation of cashflow forecasts, budget, and Business Plans
• Client meetings
• Manage IRD filing %
• Manage the relationship and contact with Clients
• Set business goals and research new target market
• Work with the director to implement the strategy and plan to grow the firm

For this position the Accountant needs to demonstrate the following:

• Minimum of 2 years of Public Practice experience, along with CA/CPA Certification or intending to complete.
• Strong computer skills, along with proven experience in all areas of Xero / Xero Practice Manager / Xero Tax
• NZICA/CPA or relevant accounting qualification
• Demonstrated experience of delivering the key accountabilities
• Demonstrated experience working independently without supervision
• Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products
• Working knowledge and experience in financial packages
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A strong customer focus
• A team player who is willing to help in different parts of the team when other team members are busy
