The Role:This is an essential role within our Wellington Warehouse, based in Seaview, where you will be responsible for ensuring successful and efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility. Other responsibilities will also include:
- Management of the warehouse operations, ensuring budgets are met and costs minimised
- Leading and directing a small team, ensuring all staff are trained, follow health and safety procedures and can perform their role to the best of their ability
- Responding to all internal and external customers, handling queries and providing exceptional customer service
- Proactively prioritising site safety across the warehouse by completing HSE Planner tasks, ensuring all staff adhere to, understand and comply with safe work practices, HSE policy and procedures, and have and use the correct PPE at all times
- A full, clean NZ Driver’s License, and MAF Operator Certificate would be advantageous
- A minimum of 3 years logistics experience, with strong understanding of warehouse processes and what it takes to run a tight operation
- Demonstrated track record of managing staff and being able to lead them to success
- Great problem-solving ability and Maths proficiency
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
