The Opportunity:We’re seeking experienced Rope Access Technicians to join our growing team in Wellington. This is a full-time permanent role, ideal for skilled, safety-conscious individuals who enjoy working at height and want variety in their work.
Key Responsibilities: Perform commercial high-rise window cleaning using rope access techniques
Safely set up, inspect, and dismantle rope access systems
Carry out daily pre-use equipment checks and maintain accurate records
Follow WAM and WorkSafe NZ safety protocols at all times
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients
Report any building maintenance issues observed during work
Assist with additional rope access tasks (e.g. façade cleaning, leak detection, painting, or specialist maintenance) as required
Required Skills & Experience
IRATA Level 2 or 3 OR IRAANZ Certificate of Competence Level 3/4 (current & valid)
Minimum 2000+ rope access hours (logbook or verifiable references required)
Strong understanding of NZ Health & Safety legislation (HSWA 2015)
Skilled in rope rigging, manoeuvres, and rescue techniques
Proven high-rise window cleaning skills and product knowledge
Physically fit and comfortable working in varied conditions at height
Valid NZ Driver’s Licence
NZ working rights
Bonus Skills (Not Essential)
First Aid, Confined Space, or additional height safety qualifications
Trade skills (painting, glazing, maintenance)
Experience in wider rope-access building services
