Are you looking to kickstart your electrical career and gain hands-on experience on real job sites?
We’re on the lookout for multiple Trade Assistants to support qualified electricians on large-scale solar farm projects across Hawkes Bay.
Location: Hawke’s BayStart date: January 2026
Pay rate: $28 per hour (paid weekly)
Your role will include:
- Mounting and fitting electrical solar components and fixtures
- Handling tools, materials, and equipment for electricians
- Maintaining a clean and organized worksite
- Following all health, safety, and electrical compliance rules
- Assisting with basic troubleshooting under supervision
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Completion of an electrical pre-trade course (preferred)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety
- Prior hands-on experience in a trade or assistant role
- Can pass a pre-employment drug test
- Full clean drivers license
- Weekly pay
- Gain valuable hands-on experience
- Work with respected, high-end clients on solar farms
- Potential for ongoing work
