Our Nga Wai Tapara a Rangatahi (Iwi Health Promotion) team are looking for a new Kaikokiri - Iwi Health Promoter to join their Thames-based team. Our Kaikokiri work with rangatahi across Hauraki rohe, focusing on Rangatahi Ora. Experience in health promotion, community development or previous experience working with rangatahi would be an advantage.
Employment type: Permanent Full Time hours (1.0 FTE).

As a Kaikokiri you will have a passion for supporting our communities across the Hauraki rohe to improve health and wellbeing by delivering the Nga Wai Tapara a Rangatahi Iwi Health Promotion Plan.
Key attributes:
- The ability to engage and work alongside rangatahi as the primary scope.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Able to work autonomously and need to have an innovative approach whilst being familiar with project development and implementation and evaluation.
- Health Promotion qualification or experience working in communities with rangatahi.
- Computer literate.
- A clean full driver’s licence.
- Strong links (or the ability to build strong links) with Hauraki communities, community groups and networks.
We require a confident pro-active individual with strong time management skills, great sense of humour and a sparkling personality.
To succeed in this appointment, you must have a commitment to improving the accessibility of service provision to Hauraki whanau and a clear understanding of Te Taha Maori.
