Job Description
The opportunity
We are looking for anElectrotechnology Industry Trainerwho will be based inAuckland. This role offers a chance to make a real impact in the electrotechnology sector. As anElectrotechnology Industry Trainer, you will develop and deliver short courses for both candidates seeking to gain electrical Registration in New Zealand and industry professionals looking to upskill in the latest technologies.Your role will be essential in shaping the future of the electrotechnology industry by providing top-quality education and training.
What You'll Be Doing- Deliver and assess approved short courses.
- Create concise training materials, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises.
- Conduct training sessions in classrooms and on-site.
- Assess trainees’ performance and provide feedback.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
- Comply with relevant New Zealand Standards and Codes of Practice.
- Maintain training records and prepare reports.
- New Zealand Trade Certificate or National/New Zealand Certificate (Level 4) in Electrical Engineering.
- NZ Electrical Registration with a current Practising Licence (Inspector’s Licence preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in electrotechnology.
- Experience in people management or supervision.
- Knowledge of PV solar system installation (preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
- Ability to tailor training methods to suit different learning styles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
