We provide a wide range of mechanical services, specialising in diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for both private vehicles and small business fleets.

As we continue to grow, we are now seeking two experienced and motivated Motor Mechanics to join our team in Christchurch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and service petrol and diesel vehicles across a wide range of makes and models
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake servicing, tyre replacements, and battery checks
  • Use diagnostic tools to identify faults in engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Conduct Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections (if certified) or assist certified staff
  • Dismantle and reassemble engines and mechanical components as needed
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and ensure optimal performance
  • Maintain accurate service records and job cards
  • Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and compliance with industry standards
  • Liaise with customers or service advisors to explain issues and recommended repairs
Skills and Experience Required:
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a motor mechanic or automotive technician
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, mechanical components, and diagnostic procedures
  • Proficient in operating the wheel alignment machine
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service diagrams
  • Solid problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to work under pressure
  • Relevant qualification or trade certificate preferred (but not essential if experience is strong)
