We are looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to carry out diagnostics, repairs servicing and preventative maintenance on our fleet of tucks, heavy equipment and plant.
You will be based at our Limeworks workshop in Kaiwaka, Northland. Parker Lime Co has been operating in the local area for 30 years and is a multifaceted company that operates a limestone Quarry, fertiliser store, fertiliser mixing facility and landscape yard.We also have an off site earthworks division and dairy farm. Our company is a smaller family owned company that values our staff
What you will be doing:- Servicing, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of equipment including trucks, trailers, quarry and earthworks machinery
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Working mainly in our onsite workshop but off site in our Earthworks division when needed
- Keeping accurate service records and parts usage/inventory
- Maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient workshop environment
- A qualified diesel mechanic and/or min 5 years proven industry experience
- Engineering capabilities would be an asset
- A full class 2 licence with class 4/5/WTRF being an advantage
- A self motivated person who takes pride in their work
- You will need a positive attitude with a sense of humor to fit into our small friendly team
- We need someone that is physically fit who enjoys variety with a can do attitude
- You will be not scared of working hard, someone that is happy to go the extra mile to get the job done when in the busy season
- A sound awareness of health & safety work practices
