Live-in Caregiver - Upper Hutt

Hourly Rate: $28.25 per hour

Note: Reasonable food, accommodation and utilities will be deducted from wages as part of the live-in arrangement. Reasonable expenses incurred as part of employment, such as the cost of petrol, will be reimbursed.

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Live-in Caregiver to join our team at Greensboro Limited in the Wellington region. In this role, you will provide personalised, high-quality support to a female client in her 80s who is living with cancer and dementia, in a private, home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Administering medications as prescribed
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding
• Supporting mobility and physical exercises
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Liaising with healthcare professionals and family members as needed
• Must live on-site and be available for overnight care and emergencies
• Travel may be required for errands or medical appointments

Job Prerequisites:

• Minimum of 3 years' prior experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare/support role
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, trustworthy, and empathetic
• First Aid certification and related training (preferred)
• Clean criminal record
• Valid driver’s licence and access to motor vehicle
