Job Description:

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize various materials, pallets, containers, cartons, and packaged products within warehouses and production areas. Ensures smooth workflow and orderly material handling.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve goods in warehouses, factories, yards, and loading zones;
• Handle loading and unloading of containers using forklifts, assisting in vehicle loading/unloading tasks;
• Transport materials to designated locations following instructions, ensuring correct placement and proper labeling;
• Perform regular inventory checks and reconcile stock records to maintain accurate and consistent inventory data;
• Store goods in appropriate locations to facilitate easy access during picking and dispatch processes;
• Use forklifts with rail guidance or electronic navigation systems for precise maneuvering in narrow or confined spaces;
• Monitor forklift performance and operational status through gauges, indicators, and computerized monitoring systems;
• Inspect forklifts for wear, damage, or malfunctions, performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and necessary adjustments;
• Adhere to all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and mitigate potential hazards;
• Operate specialized forklifts or vehicles as needed to move items under elevated structures or frames;
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned by the employer.

• Location: Auckland
• Job type: Full-time
• Pay rate: 25.00 – 35.00 New Zealand dollars per hour
• Days required: Monday to Friday
• Hours per week: At least 30

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience, OR a relevant New Zealand Level 4 qualification (or an equivalent overseas qualification), OR a bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Holds a valid New Zealand forklift operator licence, or possesses an overseas forklift operator licence, and is willing to obtain a New Zealand forklift operator certification as soon as possible after arrival.
