Class 2 driver / customer sales & service
IMMEDIATE START
We are a Hawke's Bay–based commercial truck & bus tyre retread manufacturer seeking a confident, flexible, and motivated individual for an IMMEDIATE START.
About the Role: This is a hands-on, varied role combining customer service, driving, and on-site warehousing/logistics support.The role is structured as:
- 2 days per week delivering product and servicing customers throughout the mid and lower North Island using a company medium-sized trucks (Class 2 Licence - 1 overnight stay)
- 3 days per week on-site at our Hastings facility assisting with local deliveries, warehousing, logistics, and operational support
A structured training and handover will be provided to ensure you can step into the role quickly and confidently.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver retreaded tyre products and service customers on scheduled delivery days
- Provide professional customer service and accurate product information
- Assist with warehousing and logistics operations on non-driving days
- Load, unload, and handle tyres safely (heavy lifting required)
- Support factory and dispatch operations as required
- Travel throughout the mid and lower North Island on driving days, including 1 overnight stay (Tuesday night)
- Class 2 Driver Licence with at least 1 year relevant driving experience
- Availability for an immediate start and commitment to the full 12 weeks
- Willingness to stay away overnight for one night per week
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Confident communicator and positive, can-do attitude
Experience in the truck tyre industry, warehousing, or logistics would be an advantage, however, reliability, attitude, and willingness to learn are essential.
Training
You will complete a short, structured training and handover period based at our Hastings retread factory before taking full responsibility for the role during this period of staff absence.
Employment Details- Immediate start required
- Full-time hours, approximately 45 hours per week
- Role split: 2 days driving / 3 days on-site warehousing & logistics
- Flexibility required, as additional hours may occasionally be needed
