- February 2026.About the roleThe Dunedin Public Hospital Eye Department provides ophthalmology services to all of Otago and Southland so we require a dynamic, hardworking individual with excellent time management skills to become an integral part of our close-knit team.
We also provide training to registrars from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and enjoy helping them on their journey towards becoming a future ophthalmologist and often host the 'Part 2' course prep in the department.We are seeking an Ophthalmologist that knows the New Zealand health system intricately and the constraints we face within ophthalmology
- so we welcome applications from a forward thinking, innovative ophthalmologist that loves challenges and working in a busy department.
This role is primarily based in Dunedin but some travel across the Southern District is expected.
