-term, full-time role (1.0 FTE)Our people are at the heart of everything we doAbout the roleWe are seeking a locum Medical Oncologist to join our friendly team at Dunedin Hospital for a three-month period.The Southern Blood and Cancer Service includes a team of eight medical oncologists, one nurse practitioner, five radiation oncologists, and six haematologists working within a tertiary referral centre.

The service has strong links to the University of Otago School of Medicine.
Dunedin Hospital is a 350-bed teaching and training institution offering a full complement of sub-specialties and is a recognised training site for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
We actively encourage and support staff research and continuing medical education, and we welcome applications from physicians with sub-specialty or teaching interests.Our service provides regional care across the lower South Island.

You will participate in outreach clinics to peripheral centres and contribute to the on-call roster, overseeing admissions, managing inpatients alongside your RMO team, and providing advice to clinicians and patients across the district.We believe our dedicated and passionate staff are key to maintaining our high standards of care, and we are looking for like-minded individuals to join us.The Southern district offers excellent amenities, quality education from primary through to tertiary level, and outstanding recreational opportunities.
