About the roleAs a Senior Medical Officer in theEmergency Department at Hutt Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic andskilled team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care toindividuals presenting with acute illnesses or injuries.
This role involvesworking in a fast-paced environment where timely, effective, and safe treatmentis critical.You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues,provide leadership during high-pressure situations, and contribute to theeducation and mentorship of junior staff.

We serve a diverse and vibrant community providing acutecare to a wide range of patients, including a significant proportion of Māori,Pasifika, and elderly individuals with complex health and social needs.The EDteam is multidisciplinary and inclusive, comprising but not limited to SeniorMedical Officers, Resident Medical Officers, Nurse Practitioners, and ClinicalNurse Specialists who work collaboratively to deliver culturally safe,equitable, and high-quality care.
