Christchurch - Duty Manager

We're on the hunt for a sharp, confident Duty Manager to take charge of service at a busy central-city venue known for high-end events, private functions, and top-quality ? la carte dining.

This is a hands-on, people-first role - perfect for someone who thrives in the heart of the action and loves creating great guest experiences while keeping the wheels turning behind the scenes

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the front-of-house team during service or events
• Running smooth, efficient shifts with a smile
• Handling customer feedback like a pro - solving issues before they become problems
• Coordinating with event and kitchen teams to deliver memorable experiences
• Supporting new staff with training and onboarding
• Taking care of daily open/close duties, including cash-ups
• Ensuring the business is always operating within the Sale & Supply of Liquor Act

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager or senior FOH supervisor
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Calm under pressure, quick on your feet, and solution-focused
• Flexible with working evenings, weekends & event-based rosters
• A current Duty Manager's Certificate (essential)
• Someone who takes pride in service and isn't afraid to get stuck in
