About the RoleWe are looking for a Whole of Life Vaccinator to join our Public Health Nursing team and wider immunisation network in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. We are committed to improving immunisation rates across our community to protect our tamariki in the event of a vaccine preventable outbreak.
This work is both rewarding and complex requiring a desire to remove barriers to access and working with our partners across the Eastern BOP to reach those in need.This is a 12-month Fixed-Term position from date of hire and is required to work rostered shifts across a 7 day week.

You are a skilled communicator and experienced in delivering immunisation education in a clear and confident manner. You build and maintain positive relationships at all levels and model an agile approach, you learn quickly, adapt fast. You will draw on advanced nursing knowledge, critical thinking and professional judgement to improve immunisation rates in your area.Current registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as Registered Nurse and hold a current Annual Practising CertificateCurrent Authorised VaccinatorFull, New Zealand drivers' licenceHold a competent portfolio in an approved PDRP or equivalent with a commitment to continue through the programmeDemonstrated competence in application of Māori health models to Nursing practice with child and whānau health related experienceDemonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environmentProven experience and competence using Patient Management SystemsWorking for Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
