Are you ready to take your Traffic Management Planning career to the next level?
We're on the lookout for a talented, detail-driven and forward-thinking Traffic Management Planner to join our dynamic team, in this full time permanent role.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love problem-solving and are passionate about designing safe, smart, and compliant workspaces — this role is for you.
What You'll Be Doing- Craft high-quality, technical TMPs for a huge variety of sites — from state highways and construction zones to major events and community activities.
- Ensure all plans meet NZGTTM, and local authority requirements.
- Spot risks early, resolve design issues and help keep both work crews and road users safe.
- Work in with our Waitaki Road Maintenance Team to effectively deliver planned and unplanned maintenance activities in a timely, efficient manner.
- Visit sites, carry out inspections and ensure compliance is rock solid.
- Work closely with clients, branches and RCAs, building strong relationships along the way.
- Provide expert advice on costs, compliance and best-practice solutions.
What You Bring to the Team
You'll have:
- Category A/B/C STMS certification (NP or P)
- NZTA-recognised, NZQA-accredited Traffic Management Planner Certificate + Practicing Assessment
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Experience in TMP development and hazard minimization
- Great understanding of NZGTTM and risk assessment solutions as the industry transitions from CoPTTM
- Valid NZ Class 1 Driver Licence
- Solid I.T. capability and confidence working with technical plans and drawings
Bonus points for:
- Risk assessment qualifications
- Class 2 license
- On-site traffic management experience
