About the Role
BGIS is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality maintenance, repair, and renovation work across residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out residential and commercial maintenance and renovation work
- Repairing and installing joinery, linings, cladding, doors, windows, cabinetry, locks, flooring, and fixtures
- Reading and interpreting building plans and specifications
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes and Health & Safety standards
- Using company systems and mobile applications to manage and close out jobs
- Working collaboratively with other trades and site teams
Skills and Experience Required
To be considered, you must have:- NZ Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) or equivalent trade qualification and/or proven experience as a carpenter
- At least two years of relevant experience in residential or commercial carpentry work
- Full New Zealand driver’s licence
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and building compliance
- Confidence in using digital tools (iPad or mobile apps) for job management
- Type: Full-time, permanent employment
- Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Wage range: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience
- Location: Roles available in Southland, Otago, Canterbury, Wellington, and Hawke’s Bay
- Overtime: May be available by mutual agreement
