Tauranga - Bookkeeper

P&P Horticulture Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our growing team in the beautiful Bay of Plenty region.

Pay Range: $32 – $35 per hour (depending on skills, qualifcation and/or experience)

About the Role:

As a Bookkeeper at P&P Horticulture, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and supporting the business with financial reporting. Your expertise will help ensure the smooth financial operation of our horticulture business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records
• Creating and processing invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Support payroll processing
• Preparing forms and reports for business tax obligations
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations

Requirements:

• Level 4 or higher qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
• 3 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar financial role may substitute any formal qualifcation requirement.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, etc.) would be an advantage
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and time management skills
