Service & Workshop Manager

If you have a love for motorcycles or the automotive industry and are enthusiastic about everything it entails, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. The successful candidate will manage our team of technicians, communicate effectively with customers to ensure their satisfaction, maintain the efficiency and quality of our workshop, and ensure the profitability of the workshop by managing productivity and efficiency levels.

You will be joining a small, family-run business and a busy team. We depend on each other to step in and assist with all aspects of running the shop. You will also be supported by managers from all departments, ensuring you have the guidance and resources you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Service Centre.
  • Track technicians' hours on jobs and monitor their performance to ensure the workshop remains profitable.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, Honda Head Office, and your team of technicians.
  • Manage bookings from walk-in customers, over the phone, and schedule service jobs.
  • Accurately record customer details, understand their service needs, and efficiently roster jobs to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  • Pre-plan workshop service jobs and on-farm visits in collaboration with our On-Farm Manager and technicians.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Manager to ensure all necessary parts are ordered for service jobs.
  • Handle customer complaints, warranties, and recalls efficiently and professionally to ensure all issues are resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Manage the invoicing of service jobs.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus.
  • Relatable or transferable knowledge would be advantageous.
