Be part of our awesome and highly specialised Thrombosis teamFixed term 0.8 FTE Senior Nursing Thrombosis position available (Parental leave cover)About the RoleWe have a one-year fixed term 0.8 FTE senior nursing role available primarily responsible for co-ordination and management of care to patients with thromboembolic disease, including those participating in Clinical Trials.

In this role, you will:Learn about Haemophilia and supporting the Haemophilia centreFacilitate the established clinical pathway used by medical teams in the acute setting to streamline the investigation and management of patients admitted with a diagnosed DVT/PE to reduce length of stay and optimise care.Enhance the relationship between primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare services in the diagnosis and treatment of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) in greater Auckland.Demonstrate your expert knowledge, advanced clinical skills and able to work autonomouslyBe accountable for care delivery and coordination of complex Thrombosis patients and will work in collaboration with the Medical and Senior nursing teamsPlease click here for a copy of the Position DescriptionAbout YouYou are an excellent communicator, adaptable and work well within a team.You are also expected to have the following:A commitment to biculturalism and equitable outcomes for MāoriRGN; RGON; RPN; RCpN with or without BN or BHSC (Nursing)Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)Evidence of competence to practice within the Registered Nurse scope of practiceA current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)Minimum Level 4 practice.Specialty knowledge and practice expertise.Postgraduate certificate / diploma in specialty nursing practice.Working towards completion of masters degree in nursing or health related areaKnowledge of quality improvement processes and principlesAbout the LocationFor more information on living and working in Auckland click here.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
